I am trying to get a few projects done before starting mystery stole 3 and I am making progress.
I have been able to use / try out my new wooden netting shuttles from Finniwig Studios. I love them.
They are great for thread that is thicker than size 10 and yet smaller than cord. I have used them with the ribbon yarn, sock yarn, and size 3 crochet thread.
After I finished the ribbon shawl I decided to try a scarf. I found a single ball of yarn. I have no idea what it is since the label has been removed (probably before it was given to me) but is was orange and a bit fuzzy and I thought it would make a great scarf.
One of my favorite sayings is: "I wonder what would happen if..." This time I wondered what would happen if I used a smaller mesh stick than I had for the Blizzard Buster scarf I had made a few years ago. Instead of an inch mesh stick I used a 1/2" mesh stick. I doubled the number of loops and got started.
It turned out to be a nice scarf. I used the same edging as the ribbon shawl.
Then I looked at it again ...
and realized that it was big enough to be a rectangular shawl. So I wore it on Sunday.
